Getting started

A first walk through Branchway, from installation to your first folders.

Branchway is a native file manager for macOS 14 or later. It runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. The 14-day trial includes every feature, with no account or card needed.

Open your first folder

When a download is available, get Branchway from the download page, move the app to Applications, and open it. The first-run tour introduces the main window. You can revisit the onboarding or tour from the Help menu.

Use the sidebar to reach Home, Desktop, Documents or Downloads. Open a folder to go inside. The address bar completes paths and remembers places you have visited.

Make room for your work

Open a new tab with ⌘T. Tabs let you keep several folders close by. For two folders at once, use dual pane. Favorites and Workspaces keep the places you return to together.

Branchway has list, icon, column and gallery views. Change views with ⌘1–⌘4. Selection stays shared between them.

Try it with your own files

You can browse, search and preview without changing anything. File edits such as moving, renaming or creating files are available during the trial, and with a license afterwards. Your trial setup carries over when you buy; there is nothing to reinstall.
