Understand the Storage view
Read a disk map without moving or deleting files.
Storage shows a map of a disk or folder, with tiles sized by the space taken by what is inside. Each color represents a kind of file, consistently across the view.
Open the map
Choose Storage in the sidebar to map a disk, or View › Disk Usage to map the folder you are in. Start with the folder or disk you want to understand.
Read the tiles
Larger tiles represent more space. Click a tile to go inside and inspect its contents. The category colors help you tell documents, images, video, audio, archives and apps apart.
A storage scan measures what is on the disk; simply viewing the map does not move or delete anything. Inspect a file and its location before deciding what to remove.
File operations still follow the license rules
If you choose an editing action from Storage, that action follows the same trial and license rules as elsewhere in Branchway. Browsing the map is separate from changing files.
